Overview
The Sonoff S26R2 is a remotely controlled WiFi smart plug. The switch works with the free eWeLink software, which is available on iOS and Android phones and tablets. The application allows not only manual control using a virtual switch to turn on or off the device connected to our socket, but also the creation of schedules and timed setups for automatic control of the device.

Description
How it works?
Devices from the Sonoff series utilize an external server - a cloud - to function. They connect to this cloud through your WiFi router. The controlling application on your phone also connects to this cloud, not directly to the Sonoff switch. This solution enables control of the switch from anywhere on Earth - as long as both the phone and the switch have internet access. This approach frees us from the need for an external IP address.
For the device to operate, it requires an internet connection for both the switch itself and the controlling device (phone). It will not function within an internal network.
